What Are the Things You Can Do to Attract Hummingbirds to Your Garden?

Hummingbirds are some of the most beautiful and unique creatures on Earth. The moment most of us see them for the first time, we realize the apparent discrepancy between their bird-like appearance and insect-like behavior, as well as their small size that makes them look ever so cute!

Of course, as you probably know already, hummingbirds perform similar tasks as bees, and you definitely want them to be around to pollinate your garden. When you want to attract hummingbirds to your flowers, you can start by consulting a source of hummingbird plant information to find out which native flowering plants are the best for attracting the birds. Then get to work planting them and organizing a continuous blooming schedule.  It’s good to note that the use of organic fertilizer will not harm the hummingbirds and bees.

The next thing you can do is catch the eyes of hummingbirds with the help of bright colored (orange or red) ribbons. Tie these ribbons around nearby bushes, trees and fences that are close to your plants and feeders.

Finally, the best option when it comes to attracting hummingbirds to your garden is to place more feeders close to it. If you put two or more feeders around the garden, you can make sure to attract a larger number of birds and also to discourage bullying behavior due to a shortage of food.
